Vera has expertise in advising companies and groups in restructuring operations, domestic or cross-border, covering all phases from feasibility analysis to planning and implementing the operations. She also has expertise in advising clients in tax structuring its investments in Portugal, namely in real estate and other sectors.
She has a wide expertise in international tax. She has been advising clients in inbound and outbound investments. She has advised on the internationalization of several Portuguese groups, as well as on multinationals investing in Portugal.
Vera worked for seventeen years as tax adviser, working at Ernst & Young, S.A., Lisbon office, in the corporate taxation (Business Tax Services) and international taxation (International Tax Services) departments. She was a member of Ernst & Young's EU Competency Group – a group specializing in European Union taxation issues - and trainer in her areas of expertise: company restructuring, tax benefits and European Union taxation.
